Methodology

The Dream program’s curriculum has one major goal for its students: to understand the Quran. Originally developed and taught by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan and further enhanced by the instructors of the Dream Program, the rigorous core grammar curriculum is supplemented with intensive group exercises aimed at helping our students attain proficiency in the language of the Quran. The Dream curriculum is the most in-depth and comprehensive Arabic program offered at Bayyinah, resulting in the greatest retention and mastery.

The Dream Program’s original class materials are a key component of the program’s success. Students use a series of textbooks created specifically by the Dream Staff. During each module, students have a textbook, workbook and reader. These three elements are harmonized to solidify conceptual understanding, offer students an opportunity to apply these concepts, and strengthen their comprehension from day one.

An exhaustive Quranic vocabulary list accompanies each textbook chapter, and by the end of the course, students will have covered more than 80% of all Quranic Vocabulary. Students apply their expansive vocabulary base towards hundreds of skill-building and translation exercises, all of which are designed to solidify their understanding of daily lessons.

Right from the beginning, students apply grammatical concepts in reading through the use of an Arabic Reader written specifically for Dream Students. Once students have built a solid foundation in reading and translating Arabic texts, their Arabic studies are supplemented with Tafsir readings and topics in Quran Studies to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the Quran. Students are equipped with the tools to advance their study and appreciation of the Quran.
